Your Festive Update 2025

As we shift into the winter season, we’re excited to share everything happening at the restaurant over Christmas and New Year. From updated festive opening hours, seasonal dishes, and gift ideas, to our annual community fundraiser, here’s what’s coming up.

Festive Opening Hours 2025

We’ll be open every day from 12pm until late, with a last booking time of 10pm, except on the following days:

  • Christmas Day – closed

  • New Year’s Day – closed

  • Christmas Eve – last booking at 9pm

  • Hogmanay – last booking at 9pm

If you’re planning meals with family, outings with friends, or a calm escape between celebrations, we’d love to host you.

A First Look at Our Winter Menu

Our festive menu has always been a seasonal alternative to the usual dry turkey and trimmings. Instead, we focus on cold-weather ingredients and rich winter flavours—think pumpkin, chestnut, walnut, celeriac, ginger, spice and brandy.

Our winter menu is live here from Thursday the 27th November. Find deliciousness such as Burrata, pumpkin, walnut pesto and anchovy; Duck liver parfait with butternut squash and toasted brioche; Brussels sprouts, fermented cabbage and caesar dressing; Christmas pudding custard tart with brandy ice cream; and Panettone pain perdu with orange and malted barley ice cream

Our winter dishes are designed to be comforting and celebratory, and they’re perfect for sharing with the people you love.

Festive Reservations, Group Feasting, and Larger Parties

Bookings are open for the whole festive period and into the new year, including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, Hogmanay, January 2nd and the full week between Christmas and New Year.

Whether you’re planning family gatherings, catch-ups with friends, or a quiet winter meal, early booking is recommended.

Our menu is built around small plates designed for sharing, which makes it perfect for groups. For the best experience, we recommend ordering as a table—either with guidance from our team or by choosing a curated selection from our chef.

We offer vegetarian and vegan options, and we can accommodate most common dietary requirements. An example menu is available on our website, but please note that dishes and prices change seasonally while the format remains the same.

If you’d like us to put together a bespoke festive feast for your group, just let your server know—we’re happy to help.

Place a booking for the Restaurant or Private Dining Room for up to 14 guests here!

Wishing You a Very Merry Holiday Season from all the team at Ox and Finch!

Our Annual Festive Fundraiser: Supporting Simon Community Scotland

From 24th November until the end of 2025, we’ll be adding a £1 donation to every bill in support of Simon Community Scotland’s Hope Appeal.

Homelessness continues to rise across the country. Right now, over 30,000 people in Scotland are homeless, the highest number on record, and 30–40 people are sleeping rough in Glasgow every night.

Simon Community Scotland works tirelessly to provide A 24-hour helpline; a street team supporting people at risk; community support hubs; supported accommodation; and outreach and education services

We visited the Simon Community team at their hub this autumn to see their work and find out what the Hope Appeal means to them:

“This winter, our Hope appeal aims to raise £150,000 to provide life-changing support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Your donation, no matter how small, helps us provide everything from a friendly hello and a hot meal to sustained, long-term support and a path to a better future.
Our ‘Hope’ appeal will raise much needed funds to continue and expand services, ensuring that we can provide more hope and more opportunity.”

If you’d like to make a personal contribution, you can donate directly here

Thank you for helping us support a cause that becomes more important every winter.
