An Evening of Wines Au Naturel
The Team at Ox and Finch are thrilled to announce a Scottish restaurant first: an 'evening of wines au naturel' on Tuesday, 31st April!
The wines served will be 100% natural - farmed organically and made without additives or intervention in the cellar - and diners attending the event will be encouraged to heed the event's dress code: clothing optional.
Ox and Finch's au naturel evening will offer the Scottish dining public their first exposure to an entirely new concept and the opportunity to take the ultimate sensory experience of food and drink to the 'next level': divesting themselves of their clothing at the door (along with camera phones obviously!) and relaxing - as nature intended - during the course of a convivial evening when a number of the finest natural wines available will be served, complemented by a carefully-matched menu of sharing plates from the restaurant's open kitchen.
Curtains will be hung for the evening: for both the discretion and comfort of our guests and to curtail any possibility of concerns being raised by near neighbours, passing motorists and pedestrians alike. We will provide all guests with beach towels to sit upon, or, for those less accustomed to the liberating feeling of a full-frontal naturist lifestyle, for use as wrap-arounds.
Unfortunately, from a health and safety perspective, whilst many of the kitchen team were more than eager to participate au naturel for the evening when the event was first discussed, they will be unable to enter the spirit of things. Their working environment has far too many hazards; hot surfaces, sharp implements and the like; to make that a viable option. We are however confident that a number of members of our Front of House will volunteer to follow the 'dress optional' vibe.
Ox and Finch's 'evening of wines au naturel' will take place on Tuesday, 31st April from 19:00 at 920 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.
